Summary of Rules and Regulations
| 1. |
The Company may move a vessel to any other part of the Marina. |
| 2. |
The Company shall not be liable for any loss, theft or any other damage to any vessel. |
| 3. |
An Owner shall indemnify the Company against all loss, damage, costs, claims or proceedings. |
| 4. |
An Owner shall maintain third party insurance in a sum of not less than £500,000 in respect of each accident or damage and adequate salvage insurance in respect of his/her vessel. |
| 5. |
An Owner shall pay mooring fees due to the Company no later than 14 days after an invoice has been issued. |
| 6. |
The Company shall give each owner a minimum of 28 days notice of any change in the mooring fees. |
| 7. |
An Owner shall notify the Company of the sale of his/her vessel within 7 days. |
| 8. |
No work shall be done to a vessel (without the prior written consent of the Company), other than minor running repairs or minor maintenance of a routine nature. |
| 9. |
The Company may exercise a general lien upon any vessel until money due is paid. |
| 10. |
If these rules are breached, the Company may terminate the licence granted, and require the removal of a vessel within 28 days. Otherwise, either party may terminate the licence by giving the other party 28 days notice. |
| 11. |
If, in the Company’s opinion, it is necessary for the safety of a vessel or for the safety of other users, the Company may moor, re-berth, move, board, enter or carry out any emergency work on a vessel. |
| 12. |
An Owner shall not lend or transfer a berth or use a berth for any other vessel. |
| 13. |
Nothing in the licence shall entitle an owner to exclusive use of a particular berth. |
| 14. |
No refuse shall be disposed of, other than in the receptacles provided. No waste shall be discharged into the water. Dogs shall be kept on a lead at all times. |
| 15. |
No boats, items of boats, gear, fittings or equipment, supplies, stores or the like shall be left upon the pontoons. |
| 16. |
The use of the lock is normally restricted to 2 ½ hours before and 2 ½ hours after high water between 07.00 and 21.00 hours. |
| 17 |
An overnight stay on board any vessel shall only be permitted with the express written agreement of the Company. |
| 18. |
An Owner shall take all necessary precautions against the outbreak of fire in or upon his/her vessel. |
